Why are we here? Almost all of human kind has asked this question to themselves. Some people will go as far as to say, "I have no purpose, God hates me".
Man, are they wrong.
We cannot (CANNOT!) predict our purpose. But, we can think of what our purpose is. Go ahead and share your thoughts on all this, anything that's on your mind.

Our purpose is God's purpose. This is why we were created, for His glory.

Isaiah 43:7
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

And He knows our purpose, and the plans He has for us.

Jeremiah 10:23
O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

We have but to seek God, to find the way He wants us to go.

2 Samuel 22:33
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Our way should be His way.

Hello Yep .

From time to time that thought crosses my mind , and some times more frequently and emphasis than I care for . But its all better , It used to be all day everyday , and I always "thought" I had an answer , (usually to my liking ) , and , needless to say , it always led me to one "failure" , so to speak , to another , one disappointment to another , but it wasn't until I totally surrendered my will and my life to the care of God , that I finally realized (made real) my purpose of being here (on this ball of dirt) as you put it , (though i dislike the term , for God doesn't make dirt) .
I was absolutely clueless , in fact everyone who knew me tagged me with a nickname of " rebel without a clue " though I always thought "I got handle on everything and everyone ".

We cannot (CANNOT!) predict our purpose.

In my case that is absolutely right , that is why first thing in the morning before I even think of taking another breath , I get down on my knees , and confirm to Him the fact that I am still a sinner (for I dont know what kind of "thoughts" ran through my head , or what kind of grip satan had on me while sleeping [he only gets you when not looking you know] ) and ask Him for forgiveness , and then I go on asking Him to remind me of His presence and guidance throughout the day , and I go about giving it my 100% in everything I do , for I know I'm under a Watchful Eye . When I end up having a not so good of a day , I know its me , and when I have a better day , I know Its Him , so I try to repeat that one , so far , doing so , never had a "bad" day so to speak (it just didnt go my way) only good and better days .
Like the quotations MLG used , my only purpose is to establish a closer relationship with Him so that in doing so I will glorify Him even more , and that's a continuous , day to day process .

Everybody here will say that our purpose is to serve God. What about the bad people? What about the people who have never uttered a prayer in their life. Take the Antichrist for example. He will probably and has probably never prayed in his life. If we would think of his purpose then we would instantly think that his purpose is to fulfill prophecy. Then it's not to praise God? Why would he get his own special purpose and we're stuck with the same exact purpose. Can't something else be part of our sole purpose?

God has a purpose for all who are created, they all will hear of His glory.

Revelation 5:13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Even those who choose to be incensed against the Lord will bring glory to the Lord. All will bow to him...all created.
