Psssttt....skrubby I got another secret for ya buddy....after watching you tonight in the counseling program, I saw one of your gifts....to help others. I am so proud of you skrubby for opening up, to share your struggles with others so they see that they aren't the only ones. This ol' sinful life is a difficult one to get through. We have to bind together in Christ to help pick one another up, and to fight the good fight together.

As for the radio station...keep striving in patience to bring the Lord's peace to your office. He can do anything, if you will just keep allowing Him to use you to reach them.

As for those weeds you are still working on pulling, we all have our own set of weeds, some different from others, so just keep pulling them, and one day they will be few and far between.

luv ya buddy

Hey Skrubbs,

I think everyone has trouble grasping the sacrifice to some degree... and for us to turn to Him in Love and Trust for help is all He wishes...

You're doing great, bro, keep weeding and walking!

Skrubby, the more I study the Lord's word, and work on my walk with Him, I realize that at times I can only absorb so much. At this time I have to stop and just meditate on the things I have learned, so they can soak in and just flow through me. Then I have room for more, because there's always a hunger for more. Once you have a little taste of the Sweet Truth, then it's like you crave more and more.

So, if today you have a touch of writer's block, that's okay because that's when you know you need more time to think on the lesson, and really grasp the best parts of it. You might even go back over the lesson tomorrow, and I'm sure you will see something you have missed.

luv ya buddy

Skrubster! *Hug9*

Context -- I'm mostly responding to the longer post above . . .

First and foremost, again, where is that screenplay?!?! "The Shop"! It's all beautiful, and you're all related. This is great stuff!

Ok, sorry for the frivolity.

Do you realize what a blessing you are, my Man? God smiles with each of your posts, I have no doubt. If nothing else, you bring me closer to HIM in contemplating the funny, insightful, and probing thoughts you offer. Thank you, Skrubby, thank you.

On that radio station you mention, you said they "changed" to a more inappropriate approach . . . or something like that. Ever think that the change was not in the station but in you?!?! Old things we just accepted without a thought become conspicuous in our mind as we grow.

"Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may know what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." That's in Romans somewhere.

I'm willing to bet that the radio station is largely what it was before, but your openness to be "transformed by the renewing of your mind" made that same old garbage unacceptable for the first time, without you even noticing!

He's amazing, Bro.

Just wanted to say that I'm blessed that He caused our paths to cross here.

Continue the walk with all the joy and authenticity that you share with us daily.

You've had your "Oasis hookie." Next time, it won't be pretty :)

Keep up the walk, My Brother. It is for you and your growth in Him. But I appreciate being the voyeur!!

Howdy, Skrubby! I remember your first day at Oasis. Seems sooooo long ago. You were a funny guy looking for answers.

Been reading your posts. Sorry I haven't posted. But I have to say WOW. You have grown so much as a Christian.

Keep it up, skrubby bubbles. Love you, bro!

Amen fluters :)

Skrubs, you have a wonderful gift for making people smile :)

I am so happy you were led here, and I know the Lord is preparing you for greater things in His name.

I have a hard time understanding what some of the callings MEAN.

ok here is some info I got online, regarding the two gifts you wondered about. The first is helps:

Helps:

Literal Meaning: To take the place of someone.

The gift of helps is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to invest the talents they have in the life and ministry of other members of the body, thus enabling them to increase the effectiveness of their own spiritual gifts.

People with this gift:
serve behind the scenes wherever needed to support the gifts and ministries of others;
look for opportunities to assist people in their work;
enjoy knowing that they are freeing up others to do what God has called them to do;
are more willing to take orders than give orders;
like to attend to the needs of others.

A person with this gift is usually:
Available
Willing
Helpful
Reliable
Dependable
Loyal
Humble
Supportive

The second was governments. Also translated as leadership.

Leadership

"The special ability that God gives to certain members of the Body of Christ to set goals in accordance with God's purpose for the future and to communicate these goals to others in such a way that they voluntarily and harmoniously work together to accomplish those goals for the glory of God."

Characteristics of Leaders:

People with this gift are often focused on the greater goal of the group
and are not overly concerned with the details.
Leaders delegate tasks and details to others to accomplish the greater goal.
Leaders are visionaries.
Leaders have followers -a visionary without followers is not a leader.
Leaders motivate others to work in ways that help them achieve more together than any could on their own
Leaders set the example of how we should order our lives to honor and glorify God
Leaders look more to where we are going, rather than where we are or have been
Leaders are servants, they lead by serving and follow the humble example set by Jesus

Luv ya skrubbles :)
and happy burfday!! i seranaded u on the message board ;)
