Putting on the Armour of God

Postby sleeplessinflorida » Sat Feb 13, 2010 9:23 am

I've always known that I was called by God to help others. However, I was never knowledgeable enough about the TRUTH, sooo when I did help others it was in ways of decluttering, cleaning, organizing, and simply being a good listener. Don't get me wrong, whenever they asked me for advise I could only tell them that they needed to turn to God based on my experiences. I could not quote anything in the bible because I didn't know where anything was in the bible and still don't. :(

I enjoy helping others and want to do so in the way God called me to do. Therefore, now I know what I must do! *Halo* I've got to get busy with putting on the Armour of God. *Computer* I know this program as well as all the members of this organization will help me with learning the Word of God in ways for me to absorb it, understand it and memorize them. *PraiseGod*

I do welcome any and all suggestions in finding the right Words to share when I'm around groups of people that don't know the Lord as I'm learning him. Thank you Lord Jesus for all that you are and all that you do! *band*

Awww look at you! steppin out in faith to serve your Lord :) Totally cool sister *hug* very proud of you

Don't get me wrong, whenever they asked me for advise I could only tell them that they needed to turn to God based on my experiences.

Sister, never underestimate the power of our Testimony for God to affect someone's life :) That is YOUR witness for God. I know people who are able to quote the bible from beginning to end, yet are unable to reach people because they could not relate on a personal level with them. Our testimony allows us that opportunity to connect with someone thru sharing our experience, showing them that we do indeed understand and arent just saying random things for the heck of it.

I could not quote anything in the bible because I didn't know where anything was in the bible and still don't.

Join the club! I know what thats like, and I think this is a common fear for many that want to serve God. They feel like they arent 'ready' to do so.

Truth is, none of us come ready. God equips us for the jobs He sends us to do. In serving God I have been able to do things that I have had no previous knowledge or experience with, yet somehow it just seemed to be easy for me. Not of my own ability, but thru the Lord who gives us gifts and talents to carry out our calling :)

So worry not about what u dont know, but focus on what you do know, and what you will know as you grow in the Lord and what the Holy Spirit will reveal to you as you need it

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

I enjoy helping others and want to do so in the way God called me to do.

I believe one of the most important qualities of a servant of Christ, is a willing and sincere heart :) And you definitely have that.

Im very excited for u sleepless! *hug*
Love and blessings to u sister :)

sleepless I am so absolutely excited to see you here. *angelbounce* I've been praying that God would lead you to the MCFC studies for a couple of days now because of how I see Him beginning to use you to reach out to those who do not know of His love. I see now that He agreed...and I'm dancing *Penguin*

Finding the right words to share sis...comes from the Holy Spirit.

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

So when you find yourself in a group sis...reach out and ask Holy Spirit to help you find the words He would have you share with the group. And He will speak through you each and everytime as long as you surrender to Him and are willing.

sleepless, God is going to open some doors for you as you continue stepping out to answer His calling...I hope you will step through each and everyone of them. *angelbounce*

luv ya sis

Just rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance and let Him give you the words you need.

I also cannot quote Scripture but I do know it's in the Bible so I feel confident when I tell someone that.

God needs quite warriors just as much as He needs the Evangelists that are out on the streets because the people you reach will push away the ones who are preaching at them but will take the quiet words given by someone who is carrying His light.
Many times it takes time... slow and steady gets it done.

hee hee, that's how my sister got me *BigGrin*
