Prepare your heart?
For what?
Prepare your heart for your Lord's Return .......
The Bible clearly
reveals that NOBODY knows the day or hour that the end times
and/or Return of Jesus will occur:

Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the
angels of Heaven, but my Father only.
|
The Bible is clear that
the day will come upon the unprepared as a Thief in the
night:
|
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. |
Why do you believe God
chose to have it this way?

Had you been a follower
of Jesus almost 2000 years ago or any time in between then
and now and knew the End would not come and Jesus would not
return until even later than today, that may have hurt your
faith.
So, the policy God chose
of His followers not knowing the day which the Day of the
Lord would occur was Wisdom at it’s finest.
So, God just wants
us to kick back and await the day blindly?
Not a chance … Let’s research this topic in the Bible a lil.
The Bible also
reveals IN THE SAME SERMON, Given by Jesus (Known as the
Olivet Discourse) that we are to watch and to be prepared so
that day does not come upon us as a thief. Check this out:

Matthew 24:42-44
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. BUT know this, that if the goodman of the house had
known in what watch the thief would come, he would have
watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken
up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye
think not the Son of man cometh. |
This is
VERY important:

THAT DAY WILL COME AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT TO MANY, THE
CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT WILL NOT HAVE THAT DAY OVERTAKE THEM
AS A THIEF ...

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need
that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that
the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with
child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not
in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the
day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let
us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. |
What is a Child of the LIGHT?
A “Child of the LIGHT … Is one who is
enlightened and KNOWS what is coming and is PREPARED for it.
We have been well warned …

Revelation 3:3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and
hold fast, and repent. IF therefore thou shalt not
WATCH, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not
know what hour I will come upon thee.

Watch?
What do we
watch for?
The answer
is ... SIGNS
It is
obvious from the Scriptures that we just read that we have
been given a CHOICE to WATCH for the SIGNS or not.
Again … If
we choose to do so, we will not have that DAY come upon us
as a thief as we will be PREPARED.
IF NOT … WE
WILL NOT BE PREPARED, WILL BE OVERWHELMED AND OVERTAKEN BY
THE HORRIFYING EVENTS TO COME.
So this leaves us with a question … What
SIGNS are we to WATCH for?

PREPARE YOUR HEART PROPHECY
Bible prophecy such as that within Matthew
Chapter 24 and the book of Revelation reveals many signs
such as … FALSE CHRISTS - WARS AND RUMORS OF WAR - FAMINES -
PESTILENCES – EARTHQUAKES and some horrible events which
will take place.
What signs do we see around us that could
be the prophesied signs we are to watch for?
The events in the Middle East especially where Israel
is involved ... Wars ... Terrorist threats ... New diseases
... Violent crimes ... Wicked weather ... Increase of
natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes and
volcanoes as well as man made disasters such as the oil
pouring into the gulf of Mexico which have now actually
destroyed large areas and even devastated entire communities
along the coasts of America and other nations ...
Even the divisions in family and friends
is a definite sign of Love waxing cold which Jesus foretold
as being a sign of the End Times.

Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the Love of many shall
wax cold. |
Jesus shares with us that a sign of the
End Times beginning is that Love shall wax cold. Betrayal
and hatred rule.
Paul shares this:

2 Timothy 3:1-4
This know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without
natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are
good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God ...
|
Ever experience any of these fruits from
your friends, spouses and even your own children?
Sure you have ...
Even God's family does this.
I have watched as God’s children bicker
and fight amongst themselves holding and harboring hate for
one another even KNOWING that Jesus COMMANDED for us to LOVE
ONE ANOTHER and He prayed to God for us to be one.
WHY?
Why would one CHOOSE to continue to harbor
these negative thoughts and emotions KNOWING God asked em
not to?
PRIDE
This pride prevents a soul
from choosing to forgive as we were commanded, but choose
rather to condemn the other soul and harbor that which our
Lord asked us not to.
Seemingly unaware that balance is gonna
get em down the road, tho written clearly in God's Word.

Matthew 7:2
For with what
judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete,
it shall be measured to you again.
|
Not to mention that
their own prayers will not be heard if they do not forgive:
|
Mark 11:25-26
And when you stand
praying, forgive, if you have anything against ANY: so your
Father in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you don't
forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive you. |
Sooooooooooooooo, doing the Spiritual math ...
We do NOT
get to know the hour or day of the Lord.
BUT we ARE
TO WATCH FOR THE SIGNS as to be prepared.
One of the
signs is LOVE WAXING COLD due to pride preventing a soul
from forgiving others.
We must
CHOOSE to hold our Faith, Love our Lord and His children
EVERY day of our lives.
We must
CHOOSE to live as if the Day of the Lord could come at any
moment cuz … It could.
We must
CHOOSE to live each day as if it could be our last … Cuz it
COULD BE.
We could
pass from this realm to the next at any hour.
We could be
in an accident, medical reasons or a multitude of other
ways.
Abandon the
pride and enjoy the ride.
Abandon the
negative thoughts and emotions.
Forgive ... BEFORE it is too late.
You do NOT
wanna get caught holding this HOT potato when the bell
rings.
