Dealing With Lust in the Bible

Let's begin, shall we? I realize this lust Bible verses study is a delicate topic and may disturb some, but I also know it will help so many deal with and overcome by facing it head on. So, I prefer to help a brother or sister encaged by this trap of the mind rather than remain silent. For those of you who would prefer those who have this plague of the mind and heart to just stay in the shadows or have stones in both fists ...

John 8:7

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.

We were all little kids once and most if not all of us believed that the opposite gender had "cooties" ... That's right, while our buddy yelled "Such and such has cooties" we would run away in fear of being touched by the cootie filled rascal. We had no clue about lust.

But then ... We did.

At some point we began to sense something. Maybe our parents left a door open or were too loud. Maybe it was the television. Maybe it was the whispers of a friend. Maybe a relative or friend introduced it to us, in their lust.

At either rate ... There we were. No longer the little innocent child. Once we are introduced to this sensual realm, we tend to keep it secret. Just as those that approached us with this dirty little secret did. Something to be whispered in the darkness. As time passes the curiosity or passion for it becomes a habit.

We begin to pick up things from many sources which feeds the fire within. I mean think about it ... You can not watch any sitcom, movie or even the news for a few hours without partaking of substantial lust being displayed. Whether it be subtle or obvious. Whether it be provocative attire or whispering words, nudity or a Viagra commercial.

Before ya know it ... We are now knee deep in the world of lust.

In the shadows of many Christian souls is found this lust. Many find themselves looking at other people with lust. Some find themselves intrigued by the sex in books or on television. Others find themselves seeking ways to release this call of the flesh. Others find themselves out having sex with strangers. Still others find themselves on the Internet having cyber sex.

This is common practice for many single and married Christians and it is to these souls that I wish to share thoughts with, because many of them believe that because of their little secret that they are an unworthy Christian so they never truly establish a true and close relationship with Jesus as deep down they feel they are too dirty.

If you are caught up in this web of lust. Do not be deceived ... God sees the little child within. He knows who is responsible for the original sin within you and has created a means of escape for you. God is our Father. If you had a child and the child was kidnapped by someone and taught lust and they became filled with lust and established the habit thereof and they returned home by some miracle, would you say ... Ewwwwwwww, stay away from me? No... You would be understanding and work with them to overcome the addiction.

God is a better parent than we could ever be and God knows the Truth. If you truly want to be able to overcome what is one of the enemy of our Soul's most effective traps of the mind and heart of God's children. Come with me on a Spiritual journey of the soul. In order for you to completely comprehend what I will be sharing, we must establish a few basic Biblical facts about the origins of lust. We must then find all the Bible has to say about lust and sex. We will then do our math and you will understand what it is you are experiencing when you sense lust within you and more importantly .. What to do about it.

This applies to both single and married souls. Are we ready?

What is Lust Bible Study
Lust Bible Verses Concerns
Lust in the Bible Cure

It all began in the Garden of Eden ... Eve was tempted by the enemy of our soul to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil . She did and then got her husband Adam to eat from it as well. Then, they both had their innocent minds and hearts corrupted and suddenly, they understood what sin was. In other words, they knew.

Genesis 3:7-11

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And He said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Remember ... They were naked all along but did not know that they were naked. God made them clothing because they knew afterward they were naked.

Genesis 2:25

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

But they were ashamed after eating from the tree of the know ledge of good and evil and God made them clothes.

Genesis 3:21

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

This is the Original Sin and it is now within each and every one of us.

In like manner we as children, had the Original Sin within us and when our eyes were opened to lust ... We too became subject to the cause and effect of it.

Think about that for a second. Once you know the difference between good and evil, you become aware (You know) and therefore responsible for that which you choose to do. Obviously this is because then you know better and choose to do it anyway.

But if you don't know the difference between good and bad, is it sin? For example, if a baby took a piece of candy off a stand in the checkout aisle of the grocery store while his mother unloaded the groceries onto the counter, it certainly is not stealing, because a baby doesn't know any better. But if your 12 year old sin asks for candy and you say know and he pockets it ... That is a diff story and therefore different result.

James 4:17

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Back to the Garden of Eden ...

This tree in the Garden of Eden gives one the knowledge of what is good and what is evil. In other words, at that time, Adam didn't know what evil was, but if he ate from the tree, he would then have a conscience, knowing right from wrong.

Some people believe that it was an apple that Adam and Eve ate, but the truth is that it does not say it was an apple. Some others believe that the forbidden fruit is an euphemism for sex, but it doesn't say that either. It says that it was the Tree of knowledge between Good and Evil and the fruit from said tree would do just that. Make them aware of sin. Let's take a Lust Bible study detour and look at what the enemy of our Souls said to get Eve to partake of the fruit of the forbidden tree.

Genesis 3:1-4

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

God knew that if they ate from the Tree of Life, they would live forever so He evicted them from the Garden of Eden so they could not.

Genesis 3:22-24

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life.

Paul explains that because of their choice, we are all now subject to death unless:

1 Corinthians 15:22

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Jesus is the Spiritual Tree of Life. If you choose to believe in Jesus, you get the opportunity to have the Eternal Life that we were supposed to have from the beginning before Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. Think about it ... Adam and Eve were allowed to eat from any tree in the Garden except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil ... This includes the Tree of Life.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves. I just did not want you to proceed assuming we were destined to sin and death. We ARE subject to the Original Sin but like Adam and Eve ... We do have a choice. Let us return to the origins of lust and sin in the Bible, shall we?

Now that the Original Sin was in mankind from Adam and Eve's choices ... The enemy found it easier to tempt God's precious creation ... Mankind.

There came a day after many generations of humans were upon the Earth that angels in Heaven chose to leave their Heavenly realm and interfere with God's plan.

Genesis 6:1-7

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Yes, you read that right. Angels looked down from Heaven and thought women looked sexy so they came down and had sex with human women and had children. This is lust. This created such sin that it grieved God within His heart.

God flooded the world to get rid of the sin that was running freely. Noah, his wife, three sons and their wives were the only 8 people aboard the Ark. Everyone else was killed.

A fresh start for mankind. But, alas ... One of Noah's three son's saw his Dad naked and trouble began.

Genesis 9:21-27

21 And he [Noah] drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Just a little tidbit ... Did you know that Ham and his descendants migrated to Africa and many people used this Scripture to explain away the slavery in the United States of America? Tsk Tsk.

If that was true ... When Jesus came to die for our sins, a New Covenant was made and any soul who believes in Jesus is not subject to old curses because they are reborn. That means that particular curse is not applicable, just as others are not.

How to Overcome Lust Bible Study
Beware Lust Bible Verses
Lust in the Bible Hope

Back to the Origins of lust and sex. Then as time passed, mankind began to sin even more because that Original Sin was still within mankind and they did sin. There was an area called Sodom and Gomorrah. It was filled with sin and lust. It was a place where homosexuality was commonplace. I am not sure homosexuality is the right word as that is something done out of choice at times. Let me speak plainly ... Men would rape other men.

God heard the cries of Sodom and Gomorrah and sent two angels to visit to find the Truth of the whole matter. The angels stayed with Lot. The townspeople came to Lot's door and demanded Lot turn over the two newcomers as they intended to rape the Angels. It was determined that destruction was to occur. Again, God provided a way out for Lot, his wife and two children just as He did for Noah and his family because they were found to be worthy. But alas, Lot's wife disobeyed an order not to look back at the city and turned into a pillar of salt. So was Sodom and Gomorrah and every soul within.

Genesis 18:20-21

20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

Genesis 19:12-13

12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.

Genesis 19:23-26

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Sin had become such commonplace that God created laws. Many of the laws passed down from God through Moses also had sexual overtones and some were very candid. The Bible speaks plainly about sexual issues so I will as well. There were times when men were not allowed to have sex with their wives.

Exodus 19:15

And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

The law not to have sex with another person's wife or husband.

Exodus 20:14

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

The law not to have sex with animals.

Exodus 22:19

Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.

This one speaks of masturbation and the sperm of men making that which it touches unclean and it must be washed.

Leviticus 15:16-18

16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.

Removing Lust in the Bible

This one speaks of a woman who is having her monthly cycle and how the blood itself could defile that which it touched.

Leviticus 15:19-30

19 And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
23 And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.
24 And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.
25 And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
26 Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
27 And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
28 But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
30 And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the Lord for the issue of her uncleanness.

This law speaks of incest.

Leviticus 18:6-18

6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord.
7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10 The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
11 The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
17 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her Life time.

Laws on Homosexuality:

Leviticus 18:22

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

This law speaks of masturbation.

Deuteronomy 23:10-11

10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

This was the outcome of those souls who did so by law.

Leviticus 18:29-30

29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.

But, law did not detour the people because the calling of the Original Sin within was too great. Sin continued to increase in every way ...

Judges, Chapter 19

(Brief Description)

Much like what happened at Sodom and Gomorrah, the people came and demanded the man be sent out so they could know him (have sex with him). This man's woman was raped and killed so he cut her up in twelve pieces and sent a piece to each tribe of Israel.

There was incest and rape committed by one of the sons of David.

2 Samuel 13:1-15

(Brief Description)

Absalom the son of David had a pretty half sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David wanted her so he played sick and Tamar took food to Amnon and while there he raped her. Then Amnon hated her. His brother Absalom killed him for this.

Solomon had 1000 women and they ended up being a thorn in his side as they brought in false idols.

1 Kings 11:1-4

1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:
2 Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.

This is the same Solomon who wrote these words.

Proverbs 6:23-35

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of Life:
24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious Life.
27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

Did you know God made a prophet marry a whore so he would feel what God felt when He was cheated on with false idols?

Hosea 1:2

The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.

Jesus had some things to say about lust as well.

Matthew 5:27-30

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Lust in the Bible and Mercy

The New Testament reveals more about lust, it's affects and outcome.

Romans 1:24-32

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the Truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Even Christians in the early Church fell victim to lust.

1 Corinthians 5:1-2

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

James 1:14-16

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

The Apostles learned from the Holy Spirit that the Jewish customs and some of the Jewish Laws were not to be placed upon the Gentiles (anyone who is not Jewish).

Love Versus Lust in the Bible

As well they should not be under the Old Covenant as God has made a New Covenant and that is why it is said that the Holy Spirit directed this:

Acts 15:28-29

28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

In short if you are not Jewish, you are a Gentile. You are not bound to the Old Covenant customs. As Christians, we are bound under the New Covenant rules found in the New Testament. But, you can see that fornication is something that is sin.

Webster's dictionary defines fornication as sexual intercourse between people not married to each other.

We have read where it is dangerous to do so and yet we look around and see it is commonplace. that is frightening as when this occurred in the past ... God destroyed the place where this was occurring.

Here is Wisdom:

If you are single and subject to lust and cannot control it ...

Get married.

1 Corinthians 7:1-2

1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Lust in the Bible Verses Study on Marriage
Lust in the Bible Boundaries

Now, what about those who are married that are having problems with lust?

1 Corinthians 7:3-4

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

The husband rules the wife's body and vice versa. This suggests that these two best be communicating well. Do not neglect each others physical needs unless it is agreed upon by both parties and then never for too long of a time.

1 Corinthians 7:5

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency [lack of control of the body].

In other words ... If a man and woman are married, they need to "come together" often as to avoid allowing the lust within to cause you to sin.

Many married couples stop having sex or effective sex. This can cause problems and "satan tempts" one or both ...

They find themselves getting caught up in everything from adultery to on line cyber sex trying to fill the void within.

If you are married, I want you to consider these words ...

Hebrews 13:4

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Marriage Versus Lust Bible Study

Resisting Lust in the Bible

What do you think it means that the marriage bed is undefiled? It means that things done in the marriage bed are between a man and his wife and are not judged. It goes on to say ... But, whoremongers (People that have sex with anyone such as prostitution even without pay) and adulterers (People that have sex with someone else's spouse) are in trouble.

So if you are married, you should never find yourself caught up in lust outside of the marriage as it should not be needed. You should be able to please each other and help each other remove the lust. But, it happens.

Why?

Because of lack of communication between the two souls that are supposed to be one. This causes them to be unable to discuss private matters such as lustful thoughts. This causes them to need to release these thoughts and feelings ... Somewhere and somehow.

If you are married ... Do not allow the division to occur and your sex Life to become distant or ineffective. Share your thoughts with your spouse. Let them know what is in your mind and on your heart.

Lest Satan get a foothold in your Life.

If you have been or are caught up in the web of lust, do not think you are unworthy of God's Grace . Never allow anyone to tell you that you are sentenced to Hell.

Lust in the Bible Verses Study on New Day Pharisees
Lust in the Bible Accusers

Many Christians like to say that only evil souls do these things. Do not be deceived. Even a soul that God called the Apple of His eye, fell victim to the plague of the mind and heart. He is still deemed as God's favorite King.

2 Samuel, Chapter 11

(Brief Description)

David saw a married woman that he wanted, so he had sex with her and she became pregnant with David's child. David saw to it that her husband was killed so what David did would not be discovered. But, God sees all and David was punished by having the child within this woman killed. David repented and was forgiven.

King David is a perfect example that sexual sin can overwhelm us and we can be overcome by it but we can repent and be forgiven and the result is a clean slate. This is proven by King David and that same woman being the parents of Solomon which is the bloodline to Jesus.

Remember that Prayer (In Jesus' name) is the number one way to remove anything that you cannot overcome as all things are possible through Christ.

Our lust Bible study researching the depths of the lust Bible verses warning reveals that lust is within us due to the original sin and God's Grace is the start of the healing process.
