Fear Disappear

Welcome!

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Happy to have you back to share more Truth about death!

Waiting

How many times have you feared something that you knew was going to happen, and the waiting for that something to happen was worse than the actual event itself?

Psalms 56:3

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Let me give you an example. Let's say you're a person who doesn't like to go to the doctor because you hate injections so very much ... But you also hate the flu ... So you make an appointment to get a flu shot next Tuesday, and that's five whole days away. The thought of it crosses your mind about 289 times in those five days. You go through the whole procedure in your head about 233 of those times.

All the way from that sick to your stomach feeling in the waiting room to the psh psh psh sound of the blood pressure cuff tightening around your arm to the little alcohol pad package being torn open, to the snap of the needle cap on the syringe ... Uuuuurgh, it's just maddening. But then, once it's over, you realize that the five days of fearful anticipation beforehand were worse than the shot was.

Anticipation can be enjoyable, or it can be miserable, depending on what you're waiting for. Most people anticipate that death will be the worst experience one can imagine, but as you've learned, there are a lot of things in the Bible that show us there is nothing to fear about death if you're a Christian.

Why don't we do some more digging into the ... What is After Death Bible proof so that the subject of death won't be so grave . Get it ??? Digging? Grave? Oh never mind, I can see that the humor is lost on you because you're still a little up tight about the matter. That's okay, you'll loosen up pretty soon when more Truth comes to Light. In fact, let's look at this deLIGHTful Should I Fear Death study to help you relax a little, shall we? This should put your fears to rest about what happens to your pets when they die.

Oh, The Pain of it All

Perhaps another thing that scares you about death is the prospect of pain. There are those who suffer from things that involve terrible pain when they are close to death, and it may be in the back of your mind that death might be the most excruciating pain of all.

What is After Death Bible Field Trip - This a very sensitive subject, if you'll excuse the expression, but have you ever wondered if pain is a healing of sorts? Let me give you a few examples. Fasting doesn't necessarily cause pain, but it does cause somewhat of a discomfort. Eating is nourishment for the body, and fasting is nourishment for the soul. It may sound strange at first, but Paul wanted people to know ... If I need to brag, I'll brag about my weaknesses.

2 Corinthians 11:30

If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

Paul suffered from some sort of ailment known as his Thorn in the flesh and he taught us that it was God's tool to humble him. Paul had seen visions from the Lord, and so that people wouldn't give him glory instead of God, the Lord humbled him ...

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

... when I am weak, then am I strong.

Because it allows the power of the Lord to work instead of trying to do things of your own power. You know yourself, that when you're weak, you pray more and depend on God more. You feel like you must keep in close contact with Him because of your weakness. It is a strengthening of your soul and of your faith.

What else does the Bible say about pain being a healing factor?

Proverbs 20:30

The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

It's always good to search for the Truth about things. Many folks think that pain is a punishment from God, but if you look at things from a different viewpoint, it could be a loving admonition, or an invitation to depend on Him more.

What is After Death Bible Point of Interest; Obviously there's no way we can know every detail about life after death, and some things will remain a mystery until we actually die, but as far as your spirit and soul departing from your body being a painful experience ... One can only assume what it will feel like. You are going from one realm to another ... So perhaps it can be compared to the way it feels to fall asleep, as sleep is a different realm than consciousness. There is no pain involved when you fall asleep, but again, this is just an assumption using a close comparison.

What happens after that? My friend, if you are Christian, you won't be feeling any kind of physical pain because as we learned, you will be in Abraham's Bosom (Paradise) where there is true comfort. But, for those in hell. That's a different story. Of course their physical body stays here on the Earth too and turns back into dust. They don't take it to hell with them. But, it appears that souls in hell, though they are not tangible, do have qualities of a human sort and they do experience pain. Let's look at some scriptures and you can see for yourself.

There is gnashing of teeth. They have teeth in hell:

Matthew 13:41-42

41 The Son of man shall send forth His Angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

God can destroy both soul and body in hell:

Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Worms crawl on you in hell:

Isaiah 14:11

Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

They have heads and bones in hell:

Ezekiel 32:27

And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

The whole body can be cast into hell:

Matthew 5:29

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Souls in hell have eyes and tongues. You may remember this story about Lazarus and the rich man:

Luke 16:23-25

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

You may have seen references to these in the Heaven and Hell Study, but they weren't all grouped together to show that there are spiritual attributes in hell, that without a doubt experience pain.

The Casper Effect?

The What is After Death Bible Scripture above also implies that the souls in Abraham's Bosom, though they aren't tangible either, have human like qualities too ... The rich man wanted Lazarus to dip his finger in water.

These are some very interesting verses from the Book of Job ...

Job 19:25-27

25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

What do you make of that?! Apparently we have some kind of spiritual flesh in the next life. And another thing in the Bible that confirms this is the Transfiguration.

Luke 9:28-32

28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, He took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 And as He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering.
30 And, behold, there talked with Him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of His decease which He should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 But Peter and they that were with Him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw His glory, and the two men that stood with Him.

What does this mean ... Appeared in glory?

In magnificence, splendor, beauty, wonder, grandeur, brilliance.

Sooooo, Peter, John and James saw Moses and Elijah in some kind of spiritual bodily form many many years after their deaths. Pretty cool, huh?

And more interesting things to consider ... What about Jesus body after His resurrection? Clearly Jesus is different than any other being, in that He can do anything, and appear in any form, but we're just doing a little researching to see what could be possible forms that our souls may take on after we die. Was Jesus' risen body fleshly or of a spiritual nature? Well, first of all, He told Mary Magdalene not to touch Him because He hadn't yet gone to Heaven:

John 20:17

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

When the doors were locked, He appeared in the room where the disciples were:

John 20:19

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

... You can't get through closed doors with a physical fleshly body.

Now, even though Jesus told Mary Magdalene not to touch Him (perhaps because she believed and there was no need), look at what He said to the unbelieving:

Luke 24:36-40

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 And when He had thus spoken, He shewed them His hands and His feet.

When they still didn't believe, He ate in front of them ... Because obviously if He was a spirit, He couldn't eat tangible food ...

Luke 24:41-43

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And He took it, and did eat before them.

Again, doubting Thomas was encouraged by Jesus to touch His hand and side to prove that He had risen.

John 20:26-27

26 And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Was Jesus' risen body fleshly or of a spiritual nature?

What form will our souls take in Abraham's Bosom? Some things will remain a mystery until we get there.

Well, that was fun ... We kind of got side tracked from the topic of pain, but this much we know ... Those souls who go to Abraham's Bosom, are in comfort there ... Comfort is the opposite of pain ... And when you are resurrected and go to Heaven ... No pain there either, forever:

Revelation 7:13-17

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Myth or Truth

pur⋅ga⋅to⋅ry \pər-gə-ֽtōr-ē\ 1: an intermediate state after death for expiatory purification; specif: a place or state of punishment wherein according to Roman Catholic doctrine the souls of those who die in God's grace may expiate venial sins or satisfy divine justice for the temporal punishment still due to remitted mortal sin 2: a place or state of temporary punishment

If you do a search for the word purgatory in your Bible ... You won't find it there. I have some scripture to share with you:

Ephesians 2:8

For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Our Salvation and the Grace we receive is a gift from God. We cannot do anything of ourselves to earn it, like enduring punishment or anything else ... Just faith.

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Salvation is simple. God doesn't ask us to jump through hoops or stand on our head, or take punishment to be saved, He just asks we believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, and that God raised Him from the dead. He also wants us to share that great news with others. It's so simple, yet many people are more willing to believe that there's more to it, rather than trust in His simple plan.

Romans 5:18

Therefore as by the offence of one [Adam] judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [Jesus] the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Seems pretty clear. Does it seem weird to you that the last two scriptures came from letters written by Paul to the Romans, and the Roman Catholic doctrine is where the concept of purgatory comes from? It goes against everything that Jesus is about ... Decide for yourself what is myth and what is Truth. Jesus did talk to souls in hell, perhaps this is what the Roman Catholic doctrine refers to as purgatory. Check out these Scriptures ...

1 Peter 3:18-19

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

1 Peter 4:6

For for this cause was the Gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Come to the Light

If you're a television or movie buff, or if you're a news reader or watcher, or if you're a person who likes to read, you know there are people, who have had near death experiences, and many of them describe a white light that they are compelled to walk toward.

Let's see what we can find out from the Bible about ... Light:

John 1:5-9

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John [the Baptist].
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light [Jesus], that all men through Him might believe.
8 He [John] was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which Lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

John 12:35-36

35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.
These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.

John 3:19-21

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Ephesians 5:8-14

8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

1 Thessalonians 5:5

Ye are all the children of children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Clearly, Jesus is the Light, and Christians are children of light, sooooo, it sure sounds like walking toward the Light is the way to go!

Just to make sure you understand something though ... Jesus will be in Heaven until His second visit ...

Hebrews 10:12-13

12 But this man [Jesus], after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till [from now until] His enemies be made His footstool.

... At that time He appears in the clouds ...

Acts 1:9-11

9 And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward Heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into Heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven.

Revelation 1:7

Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the Earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Which is at the 7th Trumpet, and at which time will be the 1st resurrection. I'm so glad you're getting to see these next two scriptures several times, because you'll remember them well!

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Sooooooo, if you're in Abraham's Bosom, your first encounter with Jesus face to face will not be until the 7th Trump.

Let the Dead Bury the Dead

Funerals are a difficult time in most people's lives, because of their misunderstanding of death. Jesus doesn't want you to be sad over the death of a loved one, because the Truth is that it's not a sad thing. What good does it for anyone?

And how many people have been deceived by the ridiculous notion that it's actually healthy and necessary to go through a period of mourning?

Luke 9:59-60

59 And He [Jesus] said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God.

There are a lot of people who go even further than the funeral to stretch out the grief and ... I don't know ... Maybe prolong the attention people get when a loved one dies. Mourning the death of someone isn't a new thing. Here's a little interesting thing to ponder on ... This is what the Bible tells us of when Israel (Jacob) died:

Genesis 50:1-3

1 And Joseph fell upon his father's face, and wept upon him, and kissed him.
2 And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel.
3 And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days.

Let's look at the definition of embalm, shall we? The trusty old Webster's says:

em⋅balm \im-'bäm, -'bälm\ 1: to treat (a dead body) so as to protect from decay 2: to fill with sweet odors : perfume 3: to protect from decay or oblivion : preserve

By the way ... Oblivion means: the quality or state of being forgotten. So we might assume from this scripture that the treatment of embalming lasted for 40 days before the body started to decay or turn back to dust. Some religions today have what they call a 40 day mass for the deceased. Is this the reason? And if it isn't, how many people even know the reason they participate in traditions like this? More importantly, how many souls in Abraham's Bosom are having their peaceful rest disturbed because folks want to get together and sob one more time about their loss. If they could, would the dearly departed ask ... Aren't you supposed to be out preaching the Kingdom of God instead of boo hoo-ing about my balm wearing off?

What is One to Do?

Tell the Truth!

You know there are going to be times when you feel obligated to go to funerals, and you may be able to bring life to the dead atmosphere and healing to the mourning souls that don't understand death as you do now. Write yourself some crib notes and ... This is one situation where you probably don't have to feel bashful about quoting scripture.

Matthew 22:32

... God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Comfort one another with these words:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

What about arranging a spirit lifting song like this one to be played instead of dismal organ music?

I Can Only Imagine

by Mercy Me

I can only imagine, what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Chorus:

Surrounded by your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence, or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

I can only imagine, when that day comes
When I find myself standing in the sun
I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine

Chorus ×2

I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you

Get people celebrating death rather than mourning it! This adorable, What is After Death Bible study will help you to understand and help comfort others when they lose a loved one and are confused about the future of that soul.

More Answers

One question that I'm sure you're eager to learn is if you will see your loved ones again after death. As far as marriage goes, spouses are a gift given by God while we are here, but once one or the other dies, the marriage is history ... There is no marriage in Heaven except for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Matthew 22:23-30

23 The same day came to Him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked Him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the Angels of God in Heaven.

This reveals the Truth of the words ... "Till death do we part."

Now don't get all emotional about it, because even though you won't be married, you may still see them. Many times in the Old Testament, when a king died, the Bible refers to their death this way ...

1 Kings 2:10

So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

How do we know that doesn't mean that they buried them in the same place? Because the Lord told Moses that he would sleep with his fathers ...

Deuteronomy 31:16

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

But the Lord buried Moses in a secret place.

Deuteronomy 34:5-6

5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.
6 And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

This story about king David also suggests that we will see our loved ones sometime after death.

2 Samuel 12:20-23

20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Also again confirming that grieving and mourning really does nobody any good.

Angelic Powers?

Here is some What is After Death Bible Food For Thought ... Many folks believe that they become Angels when they die. You may wonder if you'll become an Angel and if the Lord will put you in charge of protecting a particular person still alive on Earth. To find out about many frequently asked questions such as these, this study is very informative:

And now ... Another What is After Death Bible Point to Ponder; There's a common misconception that many people believe, that once you are saved, your Salvation cannot be taken away. The Bible has a lot of evidence against this theory and you will be glad that you found out the Truth after you read this particular, Should I Fear Death study:

Oh Glorious Resurrection

Most people love Life!

And the prospect of eternal life is quite appealing for Christians, right? I mean, the limited amount of time that we as human creatures spend on this Earth is minuscule compared to eternity. In fact, we can't in our carnal minds, even fathom how long eternity is. But that's what our goal is in this life really ... To get to the next one! And death is the natural avenue by which we achieve eternal life.

Whenever you think about death, has it ever occurred to you, as a Christian, what the Bible says our attitude should be concerning our destiny? I'd like to share with you, a little excerpt from Paul's letter to the Philippians. Paul candidly says that anything which can be attained of this world is "dung" compared to winning (knowing) Christ (and here's the important part) and the power of His resurrection:

Philippians 3:7-15

7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Never forget the power of Jesus' resurrection. It is such an important part of our Savior's purpose. Without His Resurrection ... His life after death ... We could not have eternal life either. He opened the door to God for us. He removed the veil, swallowed up death ... However you want to say it, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was a critical part of obtaining Salvation for us. Because you become one with Him when you are reborn, you are able to have life after death too.

1 Thessalonians 4:14

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

So, as you can see the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, and knowing the Truth has just set you free from the fear of wondering What is After Death. Why Should I Fear Death Summary ...
